About The Course

Managing the Care of Children and Adults with Cystic Fibrosis' is one of the only multidisciplinary courses on cystic fibrosis in the world. The course started in 1996 and covers all aspects of CF from birth to death

All members of the CF multidisciplinary team are represented in the international teaching faculty. In order to reach a wider audience an Online Course was launched in 2013, and is taught by members from the same faculty and shares the same content as the Onsite Course.

Experience of working with children or adults with CF for a minimum of 1 year is essential. The course is designed to build on and enhance current knowledge of CF care and management. All members of the CF multidisciplinary team would benefit from attending this course and delegates from overseas are most welcome.

The course supports the standards for Clinical Care of Children and Adults with Cystic Fibrosis in the UK (CF Trust 2011); The Standards of Care for patients with Cystic Fibrosis (ECFS 2014): The NHS England National Definition set for CF (Department of Health U.K 2013)

Onsite Course accreditation

Accreditation: Imperial College (MSc Cardio-Respiratory Nursing)

Euro points: 7.5 European credit transfers

Continuing medical education (CME):
Accreditation from either the Royal College of Physicians of London or the Royal College Paediatrics and Child Health is achievable. Please register interest in accreditation on the onsite application form and a certificate will be awarded on full attendance of the course.

Online Course accreditation

Accreditation: Certificate of cystic fibrosis training with endorsement from the European CF Society.
